SLAB ORDER AND DELIVERY INFORMATION

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION AND THEN PLACE YOUR ORDER USING THE FORM BELOW

We shall then follow up with an emailed invoice with payment details.  Please fill in the delivery information in FULL so that we can ensure a smooth delivery for you as it allows us to troubleshoot ahead of time.  Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for everyone.  We rely on our customers to give us accurate information so we can make deliveries as easy as possible.

Deliveries can be at any time of the day, if you wish to narrow the window to an AM or PM delivery please indicate that on the order form (£12 incl VAT additional charge, refunded in full if the delivery company doesn’t deliver within the promised window).

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THE DELIVERY DRIVERS ARE ONLY CONTRACTED & INSURED TO DELIVER TO KERBSIDE.  IT IS ENTIRELY AT THE DRIVER'S DISCRETION WHETHER THEY DRIVE ONTO YOUR PROPERTY OR NOT.  MANY ARE NOT INSURED TO DO SO.  WE CANNOT GUARANTEE DELIVERY BEYOND KERBSIDE.

1

Deliveries will usually take place between 9am and 5pm unless you have requested and paid for an AM or PM delivery.  Deliveries are made by a national pallet delivery network and therefore we do not have live information regarding delivery times.

DRIVERS ARE CONTRACTED TO DELIVER TO KERBSIDE - THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT DELIVERY WILL BE TO THE DOOR.

2

If you require delivery to be made somewhere other than a physical  address with a postcode and buildings and smooth hard standing, please indicate this on the order form and we will contact you to discuss before we issue an invoice.  WE CANNOT USUALLY DELIVER TO A FIELD / PADDOCK UNLESS SPECIFIC CRITERIA ARE MET, so please contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.

18t lorries are usually 13 metres long and very tall, so please bear that in mind - if you can receive a kerbside delivery then please choose this option.  Availability of the 7.5t lorries is more problematic, they cannot always be guaranteed to be available, leading to delivery problems.

SLABS: IMPORTANT PALLET CAPACITY DELIVERY INFORMATION

There are no minimum or maximum order amounts, but the slabs are very heavy and therefore there are weight restrictions on pallet sizes that the lorry tail lifts can handle.

Delivery costs are calculated by our shipping partners and charged PER PALLET SPACE on the delivery network, not per delivery drop off, so bear this in mind when ordering.

Multiple pallets can usually be delivered at the same time if required:

A 7.5/12 tonne lorry can only handle up to 25 sq metres per pallet (100 slabs per pallet/700kg)

An 18 tonne lorry can only handle up to 35 sq metres per pallet (140 slabs per pallet/980kg)

We cannot 100% guarantee that a smaller lorry will be available.

Some depots don’t have one at all.

Some only have one capable of delivering pallets weighing 600kg (21.25 square metres)  or  500kg (17.5 square metres) in which case your Pro Forma will reflect that.

Deliveries on 18t lorries are much less problematic. Please have a think about whether there is somewhere you could accept delivery from a lorry of that size.

The pallets can only be rolled off the tail lift of the delivery lorry onto smooth hard tarmac or concrete. Gravel, grass, stone etc are very difficult for the driver to unload onto. A sheet of plywood can suffice.

They cannot be rolled up dropped kerbs, slopes etc.

The full pallets are 2m tall and weigh almost a tonne and cannot be unloaded safely onto sloping ground.

Please contact us to discuss if you have a gravel driveway, for example.

UNFORTUNATELY FENCING & SLAB ORDERS CANNOT BE COMBINED DUE TO THE PRODUCTS BEING DISTRIBUTED FROM DIFFERENT WAREHOUSES, LOCATED IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY - WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.

Is there a level, smooth hard standing area (for the lorry to offload using a tail lift)?
Is there a fork lift/manitou/tractor with forks (capable of lifting 1 tonne safely) on site?
Can an 18 tonne / 28' long vehicle access kerbside of your delivery location? Please note, this is for access for a kerbside delivery, it is entirely up to the delivery driver on the day, whether they decide to go further, they are contracted to deliver to kerbside only.
Can a 7.5 tonne/12 tonne, 16' long vehicle access kerbside of your delivery location?
Are there any road restrictions en route? If yes, please detail in the additional comments section below.

BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE NEXT SECTION, PLEASE NOTE:

All deliveries will usually occur between 9-5 on weekdays only.  There are various options, please be sure to choose the one that is correct for you.

1 - BOOK-IN - No extra charge, for those who require the depot to contact them to choose a delivery day.  The delivery depot which covers your area will contact you for you to choose a delivery day as soon as they receive your pallet(s).   You should receive an e.t.a. on delivery day via email with a two hour delivery window, but we cannot guarantee this.  It also might change, due to traffic, previous deliveries, etc..

2 - PRIORITY  - £12 charge, for when you require Next Day delivery or need to have a quick, specific, guaranteed weekday booked.  PLEASE SPECIFY THE DAY YOU REQUIRE IN THE NOTES.

Priority Next Day delivery for full pallets of 35 square metres (or multiples thereof)  must be paid for and booked in before 3pm.

Priority Next Day delivery for any other amount  (delivery including a shortened pallet,i.e. any amount other than the above) must be paid for and booked in before 10am.

Priority delivery excludes weekends and some parts of the country (including most areas of Scotland).

Delivery Type

We also offer timed deliveries alongside the above, which you can find below.  These are additional charges, strictly at cost.

Delivery Time Options
Finally, please tell us where you have seen us advertised

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR ADDRESS AND PHONE DETAILS HAVE BEEN FULLY & CORRECTLY COMPLETED BEFORE SUBMITTING (ESPECIALLY IF USING AUTO-FILL)

IF THE FORM WILL NOT SUBMIT, DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU HAVE FILLED IN EVERY FIELD CORRECTLY.

As soon as we receive your payment (by bank transfer, full details will be on the Invoice, or by debit or credit card over the phone) we will send a VAT invoice and be in touch for you to choose a delivery day.

WHAT HAPPENS ON DELIVERY DAY?

You should receive an email with a two hour delivery window as a guideline, on the delivery day you have chosen. These emails aren’t sent out until your order is loaded onto the delivery lorry, so if you don’t get it in the morning, your delivery will be on the lorry’s second or third run of the day.

We always request that the drivers should call ahead of delivery, and if they don’t then they have to wait for you if necessary.

DISCLAIMER:  Mudcontrol Ltd will not be held responsible for any damage or injury that may arise from the movement of animals and/or livestock on or across the goods.  Animals can lose footing on ANY surface and whilst every effort has been made during the design and production of the slabs to make them slip-resistant we cannot guarantee that this will never happen.
